As part of the main soccer league of South Florida and of the North American Soccer League, Fort Lauderdale Strikers games are known to be fierce! Although the league is best-known for its state rivalry with the Tampa Bay Rowdies, the Strikers are gearing up to play against another Southeastern rival, the Atlanta Silverbacks. Although the Strikers generally overpower the Silverbacks with more wins and goals, there is still cause for concern considering the Silverbacks ranked at number three in the fall season. Key players to watch for include F. Picault, M. Núñez, M. Anderson, I. Guerrero, M. Ebbers, and D. King. Since Saturday is the best game day, we advise you to get there 90 minutes early to participate in the tailgating festivities. Watch the Strikers and Silverbacks make history on Saturday at Lockhart Stadium, which is located at 1350 NW 55th St. in Fort Lauderdale. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $15 for single-game general admission and $20 for single-game reserved seating. Day-of-game prices increase to $15 and $25, respectively. Tickets can be purchased in advance at strikers.com or by calling 954-606-0400. Parking is $5 per vehicle. Season tickets and group tickets are available.
