Although walking into a tattoo parlor is an art show in itself, Ink and Pistons Tattoo is showcasing the artwork of nautical-themed tattoo designs in its own group art show, "Mermaids & Mysteries of the Deep." To see the talent of more than 30 local artists, people can stop by to scope out their next tattoo and enjoy some themed refreshments. To extend their signature designs, many of the artists will have handmade goods and art prints for sale in the shop. Ready to ink the tattoo of your dreams? If so, speak with a tattoo artist about your next -- or first -- tattoo. Artists on display will include Abigail Marie, Alisha Koyanis, Brittney Noelle, Bryan Collins, Chris Rude, Crafty Dork, Cristine Ghosn, Daisy Church, Dianita, Jasmine Becket-Griffith, Jonathon Ortiz-Smykla, Joni Berte, JR Linton, Katie Small, Kirsten L. George, Matt Vazquez, Natasha Wescoat, Nilly Sweetie, Pam Kwarchak, Robert Walker, Scott Patora, Sole Del Real, and Tiffany Dae. For the exhibit's opening night, visit Ink & Pistons Tattoo's Slushbox gallery, which is located at 2716 S. Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach, on Saturday from 7 to 11 p.m. The show is on display until October 11. Admission is free. Visit inkandpistons.com, or call 561-832-4655.
