The 17th-Annual New Times' "Original" Beerfest, presented by Isle Casino, the biggest beer event of the year, returns to Esplanade Park in downtown Fort Lauderdale Saturday, October 25. Beerfest is the oldest and largest in the area, offering guests 100-plus local, international, and craft beers, live musical performances, interactive games, good food, and great times. From 7 to 10 p.m. -- 6 to 10 p.m. for VIP and Brewmasters -- breweries from across the country and around the world will present their finest selections, many of them rare beers. Plus, if you like to keep it local, South Florida's best -- including Funky Buddha, Saltwater, Opus Ales, Inlet Brewing Co., and Miami Brewing Co. -- will showcase their sudsy wares. General-admission tickets to this 21-and-over event cost only $30 at ticketfly.com and include unlimited beer sampling. The VIP area will offer guests premium craft beers not available in general admission, unlimited sampling of delicious food from local restaurants, liquor sampling, and full access to the event. This year, the new Brewmaster ticket, priced at $45, gets you in to Beerfest at 6 p.m. (one hour early) so you can not only stake out your beers before the crowds but you'll also have access to special exclusive VIP and Brewmaster beers. Full price ticket sales will continue at the door the day of the event but have been known to sell out. So don't wait, get your tickets now.
Sat., Oct. 25, 6-10 p.m., 2014
