No. 48: Falafel Sandwich from Falafel Bistro

It's not easy to find a decent falafel sandwich 'round these parts. Finding one is something like the Goldilocks and the Three Bears fairy tale - some are too dry , some are too hard, some are too soft but fortunately, you are in luck, one is just right!

Tucked away in the Shoppes of Heron Bay on Coral Ridge Drive in Coral Springs, Falafel Bistro and

Wine Bar offers a huge selection of Mediterranean cuisine from Shawarma

Pitas to Classic Israeli Salad. Though there are over a whopping 50 dishes to choose from, the restaurant's claim to fame is its falafel and hummus sandwich.

Falafel Bistro's cloud-like pitas are stuffed with delicious (schweaty) falafel balls, hummus, crisp cucumbers, cabbage, pickles, and tomato. All of the baked items at the bistro are baked on-site. Restaurant fans swear by the tahini sauce which they douse over the sandwich with wild abandon. Stop by this week to try a little taste of the Mediterranean!

Enjoy!
