The second annual Rocktoberfest is a day-long celebration of the twin pillars of American civilization - as in, beer and rock 'n' roll.
It takes place Friday, October 16, from 5:30 to 11 p.m. at the Las Olas Riverfront.
More than two dozen breweries will pour suds, along with nibbles from local eateries including America's Backyard and Riverfront Pizza.
The Pretty Faces, Hep Cat Boo Daddies, Stonefox and others will provide the
music. All that will cost you $20 prepaid online or $25 at the door.
But if you really want to hang with the swells, check out New Times'
own VIP Lounge, where for $40 you can make like a washed-up ex-athlete
crashing the velvet ropes at some snobby South Beach club, snort up
free wine, booze and food, puff away on a hookah, and get treated as if
you really were a Big Fucking Deal.
