Congressman Dennis Kucinich of Ohio is suing the operators, owners and suppliers of the House of Representatives cafeteria in Washington, DC for selling him a sandwich wrap that had an unpitted olive in it back in 2008.

The lawsuit claims the Congressman bit into an olive pit hidden in the wrap and afterward needed multiple dental surgeries and procedures. The lawsuit also claims Kucinich  suffered significant pain, suffering and loss of enjoyment (not sure we want to know what oral enjoyment he lost).

Kucinich is seeking $150,000 in damages from the four named companies that either operate the cafeteria or provide food to it. The lawsuit was filed on January 3, 2010 in District of Columbia Superior Court. A copy of the lawsuit can be found here.

Dennis Kucinich is best known for his unsuccessful runs for the Democratic Presidential nomination in 2004 and 2008. When not breaking his tooth on olives, Mr. Kucinich likes to spot UFO's and hold YouTube fundraisers.
