It all starts tonight with a special edition of Whole Foods' weekly Blues & Brews musical showcase. The theme is Octoberfest -- sample all-you-can-eat Octoberfest-themed food from 6 to 9 p.m. for $12 a head, accompanied by live music and craft brews starting at $2 each.
Saturday follows that show up with Customer Appreciation Day from noon
to 4 p.m. There will be a pumpkin carver on premises carving up artsy
gourds, and a cupcake tasting at 3 p.m. Customers can also enjoy a
vendor fair with 25 product vendors handing out samples of their goods
-- everything from Tom's BBQ sauces to Rob's Really Good Iced Teas. If
you've got a coupon (handed out in store today), the first 500
customers will also get a free Whole Foods green tote bag.
On
Sunday, stop in at 1 p.m. where local food writer Jan Norris and
Hi-Life Cafe's Carlos Fernandez will judge a sandwich recipe contest,
with the winner netting a three-minute Whole Foods shopping spree and a
limited billing on the store's deli menu.
All that, plus special
performances, classes, demos, nutrition screenings, crafts, prizes and
more will go down from noon to 4 p.m. at Whole Foods Coral Springs, 810
University Drive. Call 954-753-8000, or visit the store website for more info.
