Andrew and Ashley got our Where Were We Eating from Monday correct: The picture on the left was taken at Wilton Manors' own Rosie's Bar & Grill.
I said it used to be a hamburger joint, and Rosie's was: In its former life, it was Hamburger Mary's, a place that won a New Times Best Of for its beef before converting into the restaurant it is today. These days, Rosie's turns out a host of creatively topped burgers with puncentric names like the Wilma Breathstink (roasted garlic, Swiss, and red wine demi).
But burgers aren't all that's on the menu. Rosie's makes tasty fish and chicken sandwiches, wraps, and salads, including a Cobb big enough to fall into and drown. I'm also partial to the potato salad at Rosie's, made with bacon, chives, and cheddar cheese to resemble a loaded baked potato. The casual fare is accented with a beautiful outdoor patio under a canopy and shrouded by a thatch of greenery -- the perfect spot to sample a beverage or two from the always-open bar.
