You catch 'em, they'll cook 'em.
That's the deal at Burt Rapoport's Deck 84, where from tomorrow, the beginning of the annual waterborne madness known as lobster miniseason, until Sunday, July 31, you can bring in your freshly caught bug and have Deck's kitchen prepare it for you in any of five ways.
And what are those ways, I hear you ask?
Grilled with mango butter sauce; steamed with drawn butter; in a salad
with greens, fruit, preserved lemon, heirloom tomatoes, and citrus
vinaigrette; tempura-battered and fried; and over linguine with basil
cream sauce, roasted tomatoes, and spinach.
You also get a
choice of two of six sides: boniato mashed potatoes, fried sweet
plantains, roasted corn, braised callaloo, rice 'n' peas, and grilled
asparagus with lemon oil.
And the cost? From $12 to $15 per bug.
