If you haven't stepped into a Burger King this week, you're in for a surprise. On Monday, they debuted their newly revamped chicken nuggets. Get this: the tenders are now round and include all white meat (because they weren't all white meat before?).
You know Burger King is no stranger to chicken shape changing. Remember the dinosaur prints and lightning bolts? Those were fun. We're going to miss the nostalgic tender shape and the newer crown shape, but the changes were made due to high consumer preferences for a rounder chicken nugget a la McDonald's. The batter's ingredients have also been changed a bit.
A 4-piece order can be purchased for a cool $1, great recession proof deal, while the 8-piece goes for $1.99 and the 20-piece for $4.99. Plus, South Florida residents can participate in the Facebook contest Tender 8 which gets you a BOGO coupon: buy one 8-piece chicken tenders value meal and get one FREE. Talk about a cheap date.
