No. 75 Brussels Sprouts from Cafe La Buca

After entering Cafe La Buca -- a Pompano Beach establishment tucked beside a barber shop in an unpretentious strip mall -- you might think of Grandma. Walls are covered with framed pictures, shelves are adorned with trinkets, and linen curtains line the windows -- yep, Nana must have been hired as the trattoria's stylist.

The intimate six-table dining area is perfect for friendly gatherings. So round up a few friends, make a reservation, and let the Spina family feed you. Just make sure they give you a portion of the fabulous Brussels sprouts. Proving the adage that adding bacon can make anything delicious, a small plate of these tender-roasted veggies topped with salty pancetta will make you tear up. Might want to bring some Kleenex.
