No. 66: Chicago Dog from Hot Dog Heaven

Every major U.S. city has its iteration of the hot dog -- L.A. has the chili dog, New York the dirty water dog -- Chicago's is perhaps the most thought-out. That's probably because no other city has the same reverence for meat products as that Midwestern town. Local hot-doggery Hot Dog Heaven slings beef that would make any denizen of the Windy City proud. First, it uses only Vienna beef hot dogs. Then it stuffs them into a poppy-seed-coated bun and tops it off with all the proper accouterments: yellow mustard, neon relish, sport peppers, diced onions, fresh tomato slices, a huge pickle spear, and -- the winning formula -- a dash of celery salt. That combination of sweet, spicy, tart, zesty, and savory is flawless. And it's so close to Chicago, you'll practically be a Bears fan by the time you finish one.
