Philippe by Philippe Chow Opens in Boca Raton

Philippe by Philippe Chow opens tonight in Boca Raton on Palmetto Park Road, bringing instant celebrity and fine Chinese cuisine to Boca Raton.

The 500-seat restaurant will feature noodle-maker Cheng, who has demonstrated his art on the Martha Stewart Show. He'll demonstrate his noodle-making skills nightly at 8:30 for diners.

The Boca Raton Philippe by Philippe Chow makes good on their promise of mid-priced dining by offering diners the Philippe Chow experience at 30-35% lower prices than at the New York City or Miami Beach locations (the Miami Beach location, by the way, closed early summer in order to relocate to 36-40 Ocean Drive in November).

Items include the restaurant's famous Peking duck for $60 and Peking chicken for $40. A special $29 three-course dinner and happy hour offerings are available.

The New York City Philippe is known for its celebrity clientele, due in

part to backing from celebrity sports figures like Alonzo Mourning

(Miami Heat), Al Harrington (Denver Nuggets), Jerome Bettis (Pittsburgh

Steelers), and Chauncey Billups (New York Knicks).

The New York Post's Page Six is reporting that Alonzo Mourning will be at tonight's opening party, proceeds of which will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
