As a young father, To Be Hated's frontman Johnny Pflug (AKA Johnny Love) understands how hard and stressful it is to support a family and raise a baby.
As a punk rocker, Pflug knows that if you want to change anything, you gotta
DIY. Less than half a year ago, Pflug's close friend and Churchill's regular,
Chlesea Kronick gave birth to a baby girl Rosalie.
Rosalie was born prematurely and her father, Corporal Daniel
Linnabary II, was able to spend almost two months with her, before getting
deployed to Afghanistan in July. Tragically, Linnabary was killed a month
later - Chelsea and Rosalie lost their husband and father. Pflug and his wife
Cassie immediately figured out how to help the family, and honor the fallen
soldier's memory.
"As a new parent, I am too familiar with the rising cost of
raising a family, and I really wanted to do whatever I could for Chelsea to help
ease the load," says Pflug.
The show will feature some of South Florida's best
acts, Charlie Pickett, To Be Hated, Good Shepard, Los Bastardos Magnificos, the
707s, and the City Lines. All proceeds will go to Linnbarry's surving family.
In addition to the show, Hated for Trying Records is issuing
a compilation album featuring 27 South Florida's heaviest hitters -- with all proceeds going to Chelsea and baby Rosalie.
Benefit for Chelsea and Rosalie Linnabary at 8 p.m. on Nov. 16 at Five Points Lounge, 2608 South Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, with Charlie Pickett, To Be Hated, Los Bastardos Magnificos, The 707's, Good Shepard, the City Lines, the 707's.
