The world is looking at you Fort Lauderdale!
A spread displaying Broward County's coolest everything appeared in the February/March 2014 issue of the fantastic BUST Magazine. In it, writer Bridget Sweet calls the city, "more mellow than Miami and more punk than Palm Beach." While the gutter-punks of Lake Worth or the sun-stained, party folks on FTL Beach may disagree, there's definitely something valid to this statement.
Given that the mag showcases "the female experience," there's a rough focus on "female-owned businesses." Sweet describes the city flatteringly as: "Where the Girls Are." But the article features all things great and Broward. And, we have to admit, it made us pretty proud to see our best assets displayed in such a manner.
She includes key local spots like Radio-Active Records, Girls' Club, Stache, Kreepy Tiki Tattoos, and Tate's Comics, offering a pretty solid picture of our town. But there's a bunch more, so make sure to check out Tate's Comics' site to see a readable version of the article.
