This is a little further afield than we usually cover, but it's only a little bit outside of the tri-county area. After all the madness last week, maybe you need a break? The annual Hooked on Music Festival is this Saturday in Fort Pierce, and is put on by (772)-based promoters Spot On.

This family-friendly event takes place along Fort Pierce's historic downtown, and features plenty of extracurricular activities like a skate demo, arts and crafts, a mini bike fest, and a cornhole tournament. (Um, it's a bar game involving bean bags.) The focus here, though, is on, duh, the music, which features an eclectic bill of the best reggae, dub, fusion, and jam acts from throughout Florida (plus one from Asheville, North Carolina).

Hit the jump for the full lineup and details. The festival is free, free, free, but if you want to enjoy it in some more style, a $43 VIP ticket -- that price includes taxes and fees -- gets you food, drinks, alcohol, a souvenir poster, and perhaps most importantly, an air conditioning area.

Here's the Hooked on Music line-up, and the band's hometowns:

-B-Liminal (Jupiter Beach)
-The Burnin' Smyrnans (New Smyrna Beach)
-JunkieRush (Orlando)
-Shak Nasti (Orlando)
-Aquaphonics (Stuart)
-The Nouveaux Honkies (Port Salerno)
-Diocious (Gainesville/Orlando)
-Billy Gilmore Trio (Asheville, NC)
-Moska Project (Tequesta)
-Kelli Debs (Tampa)
-The 5/4 Band (Fort Pierce)
-Ants Don't Sleep DJ group (Fort Pierce)

Hooked on Music Festival. 2 to 10 p.m. Saturday, April 3. On the east side of the Indian River Lagoon, and across Second Street, in historic downtown Fort Pierce. General admission is free; VIP tickets are $43. All ages. hookedonmusicfestival.com
