Cyndi Lauper helped the English-speaking world realize that girls do just wanna have fun. Well, that's not all they want. They also want equal pay, longer maternity leaves, and not to be referred to as "girls" when they're grown-ass women.
We're not here to lump the ladies into one big generalized pile of high-heeled, pregnant or PMSing, underpaid, Earth-mother types. All females are different, but they all want to have some fun at least sometimes. And free fun is the most fun the world has to offer! So in honor of an upcoming South Florida visit by Cyndi Lauper -- the mother of our good time -- to Hard Rock Live on November 9, we searched Broward and Palm Beach counties for a few of the best ladies' nights in town.
5. Renegades in West Palm Beach
Every other night, you can be a hipster or beach bunny, but on Tuesday and Friday nights from 9 to midnight, you're a freaking cowgirl. Renegades provides the honeys with free bevs during those times and on those days. And once you're sauced, there's line dancing and a mechanical bull to to get your butt moving. And after you've worked up an appetite -- or induced some nausea -- you can sample some food from the grill. Presumably something made of cows.
4. Blue Martini in Fort Lauderdale
Every Wednesday night after 8 p.m. at Blue Martini, you can get in for free and instantly receive a free Three Olives cocktail. For the rest of the night, you're on your own. Sort of. Cocktails are half price, and that works out well, because a full night of free martinis is simply a bad idea. This is the bar for the club girl on her down night. You can dance to live music and DJs at Blue Martini or sing along loudly from your barstool. Whatever floats your olive.
3. Passion Nightclub in Hollywood
If you want to feel like you're a hip-hop video vixen, a night out at Passion Nightclub is where it's at. Nestled in Hollywood's Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, with two floors and six bars, this club guarantees a wild night out. To the sounds of actually famous DJs, bartenders will provide females with free drinks till midnight on Friday nights. So get silly for free and then get down to the bass.
2. America's Backyard in Fort Lauderdale
America's Backyard is a well-crafted carefree environment in that it brings you back to your college days. A time when there was no need to switch out of your Reefs to get laid. It is here that you can suck down well drinks to the sounds of songs you actually know the words to. On Fridays from 8 p.m. to midnight, there's no cover charge, and drinks are free as well, so expect to end up dancing on the bar by the end of the night.
1. Dr. Feelgoods Rock Bar & Grill in West Palm Beach
Feelgoods in West Palm Beach has the latest running of all the ladies' night specials, probably because it's owned by former Mötley Crüe member Vince Neil. Ladies get in for free on Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. During these hours, women also get to drink for free. No restrictions, no cutoff time. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, you can chug completely free of charge. Feelgoods is the one that'll make you feel all right. Just leave your Frankenstein at home.
