Just a reminder about an event we teased last week. Fort Lauderdale indie rock group Alexander is indeed giving away It's Not Always Signs, It's Not Always Wonders, a yet-to-be released album, tonight at 1921. The doors open at 8 p.m., and music will follow.

Now, instead of giving just some convoluted directions regarding the route you should take to get there, I decided to use my sophisticated video production skills to provide some needed context.

After the jump, a video how-to for getting to 1921 S. Federal Highway (formerly called Godfathers) with some  commentary from your Broward-Palm Beach Crossfade correspondent.

It's never a bad idea to plug a location you're trying to find into Google Maps. And this is what you get for "1921 S Federal Hwy Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316." However, the Google Street View for that address shows you the front of the building. As you will see in the video above, 1921 is in an alley behind the 1900 block of S. Federal Highway (between SE 19th St and SE 20th St).
