Launched in 2007, Leggo My Demo is a Miami Beach-based demo competition aiming to expose and promote distinguished new electronic music productions from around the world.  Each month they select new demo submissions, providing winners with network exposure and a feature at their monthly events in Miami Beach.

Leggo My Demo announced last week that it will use a $30,000 two-year matching grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation to expand it's internet-based community platform showcasing new electronic music. The Knight Foundation Arts Partnership is a five-year, $40 million initiative to transform the South Florida arts. The effort includes endowment grants to leading arts institutions, plus a community-wide contest to fund the best arts ideas.

With their new grant support, Leggo My Demo plan to develop a new website with interactive features, providing even more online exposure for winning artists, and will be ramping up their monthly rooftop events in Miami Beach. Stay tuned!
