Back in January when the New Times named Lil Daggers' limited-edition Stragglers Tour EP to our "Best Local Albums of 2009" list, we said: "If you were either lucky or obsessed enough to score one of these exceedingly rare 10-inch discs at the outset, you'll already agree Yuri, Ruben, Gabe, Johnny, Jose, and Jacob deserve massive, fanatically screeching welcomes wherever they roam."

Well, we fucking meant it. And so, if you haven't already joined the ever-expanding, half-angry, half-stoked mob that follows these Dagger dudes from gig to gig, now is the time to stop sleeping. Join the fanclub, send some money (or booze or dirty underwear), and tell your friends about the band's newest thing, King Corpse.

Coming out on Livid Records in early May, this 7" slab features four fresh songs: the title track, "Ya Tu Sabes," "Devil You Know," and today's free download "Hungry." It's all so dirtily clean, perfectly busted, brutally good. And like Stragglers, this music's appropriate for pretty much any activity ... Drinking brews with your buddies, meeting the fanclub peeps, building coffins in the garage, or even doing it with your GF or BF or WTF.

So download, download, download. Then meet the mob at the Daggers' end of March pre-release party. We'll be waiting for you.

With Wild Yaks. Wednesday, March 24. American Legion, 6445 NE 7th Ave., Miami. Doors open at 8 p.m. and tickets cost $4.
