Throwing it way back once again. I came across this old school EPMD video and felt the need to drop it on a day like this when the hip-hop world is so out of focus.
Everyone seems to be looking forward to Sept. 11 when 50 Cent and Kanye West are duking it out for record sales. And that's all good, since hopefully Kanye will "win," whatever that means but come on.
Somehow, hip-hop from the old EPMD days has been forgotten. It's not all about platinum plaques.
Neither Kanye or 50 can out rap Erick and Parrish today, let alone when they were in their prime. Anybody that misses songs like this, enjoy. --Jonathan Cunningham
