Older men and young men who love the music of older men, big news was just announced that pertains to you and your people! The Who will be kicking off its 36-date North America tour at BankAtlantic Center on November 1. The Brit legends whose music defined, well maybe not "my" generation, but a generation, will be performing an assortment of classic hits and all of 1973's double album and rock opera Quadrophenia.

This is the first time Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey and crew have performed in the U.S. in four years. Members (read: obsessives) of the Who's official fan club will be able to purchase tickets before the rest of us on July 20, while we mere fans will have to wait until Friday, July 27, at 10 a.m.

In a release, Townshend commented on what we can expect from this tour:

"We plan to close the show with a few of the really

well-known anthems, and maybe some last minute surprises. These will be

as much a surprise to me as to our audience because this is an area I

tend to leave to Roger; he's very good at it."

Let's trust Roger's good taste and hope he leaves Tommy at home.
