One of the most pleasant discoveries of this year's Death to the Sun festival was the psychedelic sounds of Fort Lauderdale's Honey Train. And what fun it is when a band can withstand the pressures of today's fast-moving recording cycles and lay down several recordings at once.

In this case, it's the eight-song Demo 10/12/11, which Honey Train made available over the weekend at its Bandcamp site.

According to singer/guitarist Davis Wheatley, the tracks were laid down on the date in question at their warehouse space out in the Davie area. The room must have lovely acoustics, because tracks like "Reminds Me of a Burrito" are loaded with friendly reverberations.

The entire demo is available for streaming and free download at Bandcamp.
