Coastline Festival is back!

And for its sophomore return, the fest is trekking the SoFla coast, bringing a "Craft Cove" village, "Food Frontier," and "Isle of Art" to the Pompano Beach Amphitheatre on Sunday, February 22, 2015, and to Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg the day before.

While the select beer, gourmet grub, and art of Coastline is pretty exciting, the music is where all the hype is at. That's because the guys over at AEG, Pop2Life, and Ledge Entertainment are bringing the experimental psych-rock of the Flaming Lips, Young the Giant, and a slew of other indie acts to the 954 next year.

Check the cut for the rest of the line up.

  • Young the Giant
  • Tove Lo
  • Airborne Toxic Event
  • Echosmith
  • The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger
  • Misterwives

Music aside, with over 30 specialty beers, Coastline promises to bring "a wonderland of authentic hand-crafted brews" at the "Craft Cove;" an "expedition" of food trucks at the "Food Frontier;" and local artistic masterpieces at the "Isle of Art."

The fest made its debut back in 2013 at the Cruzan Amphitheatre, and was even named the Best Local Music Festival by us here at New Times. But with this year's Coral Skies Music Festival boasting indie acts, a "Food Trucktopia," craft beer, and a "Garden of Art," it seemed as though Coastline had drifted into the Atlantic, replaced by Coral Skies.

But with the oasis of tuneage expected to be formed by the Flaming Lips and the rest of the line up, Coastline will definitely make a splash when it strikes Pompano Beach next year.
