DJ Joaquin Estevez was born in the Dominican Republic and relocated to Miami in 1992, where he's been a mainstay of the local underground EDM scene since his long-standing residency for Sobebeats and their infamous warehouse parties in 2006-2008. He has since played regularly in support of the PL0T, Link, SAFE, Musical Missionary, and Pornograph crews at various parties and venues throughout the city, and alongside top international artists like Ambivalent, [a]pendics.shuffle, Anja Schneider, M.I.A., Falko Brocksieper, Bloody Mary, Benno Blome, Alexi Delano, Martinez, and Bill Patrick.

Joaquin's new DJ mix encapsulates the smooth sultry blend of deep house and techno that has distinguished his live sets in 2009. You can catch Joaquin live tonight at ON/OFF at La Folie in South Beach, where he'll be throwing down with PL0T residents Alejandro Sab and Michael Christopher.
