Get AlterLatino! at Jazid Thursday

​If you've been following along -- and we know you have -- you're well aware by now of MiamiAlterLatino.com's awesome series taking place at Jazid, known as International Thursdays. The party series has sought to bring to SoBe a little global culture, changing each week's parties to fit different themes form other Latin cultures, apart from our own Cuban-jet-fuel-sipping, guayabera-wearing, republican-view-toting variety. Already in the books, a Brazilian bash, Argentine fun, Colombian party and a general Rock en Español shindig. Next up, AlterLatino! Night, of course.

That may sound a little more vague than the aforementioned, but this week's festivities will be solid, including a live performance by electro-experimental-pop band Jivan Green, and a lot more. The band, based here in Miami, is comprised of Jivan Barreto, Ruben Coello, Alvaro Ramirez III, Marc Alvarez, Peter Alvarez, Lalo Kalavera. And if you're hoping for more description than that, you're S.O.L. These dudes' sound is seriously hard to describe. We could say that if Neyo had been born in Venezuela and a Puerto Rican Timbaland had met him there for arepas before heading into the studio....just follow the link and listen for yourself.

FYI, This party will be a b-day celebration for Lalo Kalavera or LaDoFaSil, and the cover band will also be on hand to perform your favorite Latin rock hits. As will the reggae-fused Guaraira. And $1 drafts all night promise to keep the natives saucy. Oh, and the entrance is free. Can't really ask for more.
