Once you get off the Jam Cruise, you should go ahead and get ready for another show to reminisce with your new found friends and relive the countless hours of meandering guitars, drum solos, and improvised jam sessions with a band that's been perfecting all those things for 15 years. (It doesn't hurt their music credibility that they started as an Allman Brothers Band side project.) On January 20, Government Mule is scheduled to play Revolution Live starting at 7:30, in support of their first studio album in three years. Tickets go on sale this Saturday through Ticketmaster.

Is Ska more your thing? Then you're in a ridiculous amount of luck with this announcement: The English Beat and Fishbone are playing Culture Room on February 17. That means if you're into the whole two-tone, reggae inspired style of ska, you're looking forward to English Beat. If you're more into the punky, alternative style of ska with faster, heavy guitars, Fishbone will be more your style. If you're just into bands who've  been throwing down for almost 30 years, constantly touring and working on their sound, you'll want to be at Culture Room for this one. Tickets go on sale Friday via Ticketmaster. Hit the jump to hear some ska!
