Hard has been bring electro-house to the masses in Los Angeles ever since blog-house exploded over the scene. Sometimes the events can go down as epic, but the event's organizers have had a few blemishes too. We've got to say, we wondered when the organizers would expand the party to Miami, since the city's status as a dance music capital makes it an obvious choice -- they've already put on satellite events in New York and San Francisco.
Erol Alkan headlines Hard's first-ever Miami event.
But you've got to admit that the organizers are like 3 years too late. Electro-house has somewhat worn out its welcome replaced with dubstep and nu-disco. Still, that's not stopping the festival , along with a little help from local promoters Poplife, from putting on a pool party March 25 at Fontainebleau Hotel (4441 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach). Does the line-up sound straight out of 2007? Sure, but it's still pretty solid. Erol Alkan, Boys Noize, Busy P, DJ Mehdi, Fake Blood, Jack Beats, Annie Mac, Brodinski, Aeroplane, Boy 8 Bit, Rory Phillips, and Gina Turner are all on the bill.
Party starts at noon and we don't expect to die until well after sunset. Tickets are available for $25 via Groovetickets.com, and with a capacity set at 600, expect it to sell out.
