It must've been a chick fight for the ages -- a West Palm Beach man's wife pulls in to a dead end street in her Mercedes-Benz SUV, ready for a fight with the man's girlfriend, who rolls up in her BMW and a loaded .45-caliber handgun.

The man's girlfriend, 24-year-old Yanelys Chalu, called the man's wife and said she wanted to meet her for an unspecified reason, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

The man's wife shows up to their designated meeting place, and as his wife rolls down her window, police say Chalu grabbed her hair and began to scratch her face.

Chalu eventually got the woman's car door open, and pulled her out of the car -- scratching and punching her until the woman says she almost lost consciousness, the cops say.

That's when police say Chalu went back to her BMW to grab her .45.

Chalu walked up to the woman with her gun, when the woman told police she heard a "click" noise -- at which point the woman tried to run and drive away, police say.

The cops showed up at that point, and Chalu told them the man's wife was upset that she kept calling him.

She tried to tell police that the gun wasn't loaded -- which it was, according to the cops.

That landed Chalu in jail, where she faces one charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and one count of simple assault.
