Murder Suspect, Felipe Alex Torrealba, On The Run

Felipe Alex Torrealba, wanted in connection with a Broward County murder, is on the run again after BSO homicide detectives tracked him to his southwest Florida home.

The 26-year old Torrealba, fled authorities Thursday night just before they arrived at the Lehigh Acres home near Fort Myers, where he was staying, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

Authorities believe he fled with his 22-year-old girlfriend, Dayana Garcia, and two children - a 5-year-old boy and a 4-month-old girl.

Torrealba is wanted for questioning in the homicide of 42-year-old Kris Smalls of Weston, who went missing March 18 and was found dead in his SUV a week later.

Torrealba has a history of arrests and has warrants for his arrests in both Miami-Dade and Broward counties, BSO deputies said.

In addition to the Smalls case, Torrealba is also wanted in connection with a January incident where he was shot in the ear by a Sweetwater cop after he fled a traffic stop.

BSO deputies believe Torrealba and Garcia may be driving a rented, grey Mercedes C300 with a Texas tag of CD7 P374.

Torrealba is described as having gold teeth and tattoos covering both of his arms. He also rocks a tattoo on his neck that says "Jillian" and a tat on his chest that says "Alex." The BSO said Torrealba might be selling drugs to make money and should be considered armed and dangerous.
