Another South Florida College Footballer Sidelined by Legal Trouble

Kevin Bryant, a hulking offensive lineman who played for Anderson High School in Hollywood, has been kicked off the University of North Carolina football team following misdemeanor charges of assaulting a woman in Durham County, according to the News-Observer.

Standing 6-foot-7 and weighting 350 pounds, Bryant was named by national recruiting service Superprep as the state's "biggest and strongest Division IA recruit." The Miami Herald rated him Broward County's seventh-best player.

Bryant is the second former Broward football star to lose his place with a major college program. Justin Feagin, who landed at the University of Michigan after a stellar prep career in Deerfield Beach, was booted from that team after he was linked to an argument over a botched cocaine deal.
