It's all fun and games driving a boat in a designated swimming area until you allegedly cause a 15-year-old girl's leg to be partially amputated.
That's why two 16-year-old boys were charged in the February boating accident, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
Gabby DeSouza,15, was in the water near Juno Pier when the two teens in the boat showed up near them.
According to the Palm Beach Post, an eyewitness said DeSouza was trying to get onto the boat when the driver revved the engine.
Despite warnings from Palm Beach County Rescue -- including horns and signals -- they kept on going, less than 500 feet from the shore.
The boat ended up knocking over three girls, and DeSouza's leg got stuck in the boat's propeller -- leading to her leg being partially amputated.
Of course, the boys booked it -- and now they're in juvie.
The boys are charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injury, reckless operation of a vessel, and culpable negligence.
