Fox News talking face Sean Hannity announced on his radio show last week that he's going to bolt New York after Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo made comments about how extreme conservatives have "no place" in New York.

So where does one go to find solace in the bosom of like-minded extreme conservatives?

Why, FLORIDA, OF COURSE!

Not only that, but a report says that once Hannity gets to the Sunshine State, he plans to run for office.

Because, FLORIDA, OF COURSE!

Of course, Florida is already overrun by the nutty side of the nutter party, what with Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Lou Dobbs, Michael Savage, Donald Trump, and Neil Cavuto calling Florida home (or, at least, home away from their other homes).

So Hannity would fit in nice and cozy with the rest of 'em.

Aside from his being butt-hurt over Cuomo's comments, there's the whole paying taxes thing that the wealthy Hannity isn't too fired up about.

He's fed up with paying that whopping 10 percent state income tax!

"Now I want to tell you something," Hannity told his listeners, "I was born and raised in New York, and I want you to know that I can't wait to get out of here. I really can't. I don't want to pay their 10-percent state tax anymore. I live in the second-highest property taxed county in the entire country in Nassau County. I can't wait to sell my house to somebody who wants it."

Florida is full of tax-hating GOPers and is also an income-tax-free state. He already has a vacation home in Naples and claims to love the water. Maybe not as much he loves not paying taxes, but still enough to choose Florida over, say, Texas.

More poignant, however, is that The Hill is reporting that Hannity is seriously considering running for office once he gets down here.

Hannity says as soon as his son graduates high school, he's bolting the Empire State. And, he has spoken about running for office in the past.

But The Hill cites a source that says Sean is serious about getting into politics.

"He wasn't joking," the source said. "It was definitive, but he didn't mention a specific office in Florida."

So buckle up, Florida.

The state's about to get even more insufferably Fox Newsy.

Still... while many in the state would regard this as crappy news, it's actually fantastic news for smarmy, snark-driven political bloggers.
