Brandon Johnson wanted to fly to Jamaica, and he didn't much care about little things like "passports" and "not cursing out police officers."
The 30-year-old was berating a Spirit Airlines ticket agent about getting a flight out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport when a Broward deputy arrived.
"Defendant refused to accept the ticket agent's explanation and kept arguing getting louder and louder using profanity," wrote Deputy Jon Edwards. "The entire terminal was filled with people who were now watching the defendant."
Edwards reportedly tried to calm Johnson down, to which Johnson responded, "Fuck you, cops. You kidnapped my kids. I need to get to Jamaica." Johnson also refused to leave the ticket desk and, according to Edwards, turned quickly toward the officer with his fists clenched and yelled, "Fuck you, I don't give a fuck what you say."
It was at this point he was "taken to the ground" and arrested on disorderly conduct charges; he's since been released on $25 bond. Broward court records do not yet indicate any court date.
