Why You Should Get Warped This Independence Day

Warped Tour is always a sight: the crowd, primarily a teen base, comes dressed in their best band tee, scuffed converses and spiked/dyed hair, all complemented with a look of preadolescent angst. Warped Tour 2015 comes with an interesting twist: it lands on Fourth of July. So, we decided to come up with a list as to why it's better to ditch the traditional BBQ and get warped. Here are five reasons why Warper Tour is a patriotic way to spend Fourth of July!

5. The bands are touring nationwide

With an all American tour complete with artists such as Beartooth, Family Force Five and MC Lars, it only seems fitting that the Warped Tour date falls on Fourth of July. Why not celebrate the ability to travel around this great nation and spread words of good cheer?

4. It's an excuse to dress up like a punk president

Have you ever thought of Abraham Lincoln with converses and a black band tee throwing up the devil horns and moshing? I bet now you are. Add a top hat and that majestic Abe beard to your Warped Tour attire and you'll be good to go.

3. Potential fireworks

Holidays call for special effects, and Warped Tour's Fourth of July stop should be no exception. We're thinking American flag costumes, ad-libbed patriotic lyrics and hey, maybe some bands will throw in some fireworks.  Silverstein, will you make our dreams come true?

2. Beer and day drinking

There is nothing, and we repeat, NOTHING more American than day drinking and listening to rock music. Actually, we lied - there is something more American, and it consists of yelling "'Merica!" while day drinking and listening to rock music.

1. It's better than any pool party you'll go to

The live music alone blows any music at any standard house party. Your little brother isn't getting any better with DJing, sorry.
