Steve Martorano, Fort Lauderdale's favorite "cuz" and cook, is planning on expanding his ever-growing empire.

The chef, who owns two South Florida restaurants, Cafe Martorano and Martorano's Italian American Kitchen at the Seminole Hard Rock, along with restaurants in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, sent out an Instagram to alert his fans to his new project, saying,"The Martorano Restaurant Group Is Expanding with a New Concept of Fast Food Casual Using High Quality Products -- Comfort Italian American Food God Is Good."

For years, Martorano has been mulling over opening a restaurant in South Beach, even mentioning his idea of a "dream" restaurant that would be a casual meatball joint. Could this be the realization of those plans and dreams?

The burly cook who prefers muscle T's to a chef jacket in the kitchen, has recently released his second book, titled It Ain't Sauce, It's Gravy: Macaroni, Homestyle Cheesesteaks, the Best Meatballs in the World, and How Food Saved my Life, available on Amazon.com starting at $33.88.
