Super Bowl 2013: Where to Find Catering in South Florida

Superbowl: it's probably more American than apple pie. And a bigger celebration than even the 4th of July. One of the few occasions in which it is abnormal to remain sober by 5 o'clock. That being said, it is also one of the busiest days for the many sports bars that permeate the shopping centers of South Florida.

If you want to avoid the bar madness and a mess in the kitchen we have a list of South Florida catering specials for you.

You love watching football, but you're finally burnt out from chicken wings? Well, Chipotle Mexican Grill is offering a burrito box special. If you place an order for six or more burritos on Super Bowl Sunday and keep your receipt, you are entitled to a free burrito, burrito bowl, salad, or order of tacos. The free meal can be redeemed anytime until February 28. Orders for more than 50 burritos need 24 hours notice: 100 burritos max.

Again, who said you have to go for the average wings and pizza for Super Bowl? RA sushi will be offering five different combo sushi platters ranging from 52 to 199 pieces. Options include small vegetarian ($50) and basic platters ($60), medium Maki Maki ($70) and Tsukiji combo ($100), and the large Harajuku combo ($120). Some advance notice is required.

- E & J's Sandwich Shop, 814 East Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach. Call 561-272-8049.

This little sandwich shop is offering multiple deli options for football festivities. Deli party platters start at $7.95 per person, which include a combination of sandwich options and chips. However, if you're looking to go big, the shop will be featuring a six foot gigantic sub ($195) that can feed 35 to 40 people--24 hour notice required.

- Bogart's Bar & Grille, 3200 Airport Road, Boca Raton. Call 561-826-1790.

If you're looking for multiple options and you don't feel like getting out of the car, Bogart's is offering Super Bowl Sunday To-Go packages--with curbside pick-up. The restaurant will feature multiple packages, which serve 8 to 10 people, starting at $65. Packages include 12" sub platter, wings and sliders, or ribs and sliders. They will also feature multiple a la carte options, as well. Orders must be placed by 5:00 pm Friday.

This local legend of a deli always offers catering, but an order here will always impress a crowd. The little shop offers a vast array of catering options: 6 foot subs (starting at $129), sandwich platters (starting at $69), salad platters (starting at $20), and a whole other host of options. While many orders can be placed later in the week, if you're looking to score on a huge sub you'll have to call the order in by 3:00 pm Thursday. For a menu check out the website here.

Pizza and wings tend to be Super Bowl staples. If you're looking for some tastier options of the old reliable, all Anthony's locations will be offering an Italian Tailgate Special. For $13 per person (ten person minimum), the special includes pizza, salad, chicken wings, ribs, and meatballs.

Looking for some Super Bowl staples? Bokamper's Sports Bar & Grill is offering a Tailgate Platter. Forty bucks gets you and five of your friends--six people total--a supply of queso dip and chips, boneless wings, sliders, mozzarella sticks, and southwestern egg rolls. Orders can be placed anytime before the game.
