Looking for a music event to ring in spring that also happens to feature only beers brewed in Florida? If so, your search is over this weekend, when Ales for Anglers hits the music/fishing/craft beer trifecta.

Organized by the Snook & Gamefish Foundation (a group that seeks to aid in the protection and preservation of current fish populations for future generations) and Bx Beer Depot (purveyor of fine craft beers and home brewing supplies), Ales for Anglers will be held at Boca Raton's Sunset Cove Amphitheater on Saturday, March 29, starting at 2:30 p.m. and lasting until about 10.

About 200 gallons of home brew will be available to ticket holders right as the gates open, featuring an impressive list of local talent: Invasive Species, 403 Brewing Co., Midnight Brewing Co., Florida Keys Brewing Co., Devour Brewing, Zink & Hucklebuck Brewing Co, 26th Degree Brewing Co, Ookapow Brewing Co., Holy Waters Brewing, and Angry Union Brewing.

After that, hang out for the rest of the day listening to the sounds of JJ Grey and Mofro,

Have Gun Will Travel, Thomas Wynn and the Believers, and Forrest Hoffar while craft beer from Cigar City Brewing, Tequesta Brewing Company, The Native Brewing Company, Due South Brewing Co, Brew Bus Brewing, Rock Brothers Brewing will be available for purchase (at a rate of $6 per 12 ounce pour).

Tickets for this event run $35 ($37.74 online with fees) and include seven and half hours of music and the complimentary homebrew pours, all the while helping out the Snook & Gamefish Foundation.

According to Brett Fitzgerald, CEO of the foundation, Ales for Anglers will support the Angler Action Program, an expanding program of angler participation in state-of-the-art conservation and fishery management.

Which is good, because who doesn't like fish?

So, if you're a fish lover, a music lover, or a craft beer lover, this event might just speak to you. Or, I guess, hook you and reel you in, if we're following this fish theme.
