Hundreds of people came out to Funky Buddha Brewery this past Friday to celebrate the start of South Florida Beer Week, the beginning of a long weekend, and the filming of Palate Party food truck for Cooking Channel's Eat Street.
The brewery was a hub of activity as people chowed down on chef Robyn Almodovar's lobster mac 'n cheese (which sold out before we could try some), crab cake sliders (sweet and succulent), and short rib grilled cheese sandwiches.
The Eat Street crew filmed literally dozens of patrons, each describing their bites of deep-fried bread pudding and chicken and waffles in loving terms for the camera.
After the crew got their footage of people enjoying Palate Party's vittles, it was time to interview the chef. The crew, who have filmed in south Florida several times before, was in for a surprise -- an impromptu dance on the roof of Palate Party by Almodovar and a professional dancer.
It could be the Hop Gun IPA's kicking in or the good vibes, but the crowd went wild, shouting encouragement for the dancing duo. Here's a film of the dance routine, in case you missed it:
