It's beginning to look a lot like a Duck Dynasty Christmas, folks. Those loveable bearded fellows who made a shitload of money selling duck calls before fame called in the guise of a reality show on A&E, have a Duck The Halls Christmas CD, DVD, and even Duck Dynasty chia pets (watch the beard grow) for stocking stuffers.
But what do you serve when you get the gang together to sing along with the Robertson family? Duck Commander wine, of course!
Duck Commander wine is a real thing, folks. Produced by the Trinchero Family Estates in St. Helena, California, Duck Commander wine comes in three varietals.
Triple Threat is a 2011 vintage red blend, Wood Duck is a 2012 Chardonnay, and Miss Priss is a 2012 Pink Moscato. All are produced from California vineyards and all retail for about ten bucks a bottle.
Sure, these aren't wines for the snob on your list. But, so what? They're quaffable wines by a reputable producer of low-priced wines like Menage a Trois and SeaGlass. And, as As the Dynasty's Willie Robertson said about the wines, "Yuppie folks ain't the only ones who can enjoy good wine. This is good wine for good people, and it's made by good people."
Let's just hope the Robertson family wine is half as amusing as their Christmas caroling:
