But Easter meals aren’t just about sugar, candy, and dessert. Whether you’re looking for a traditional meal or a creative spin on some classic dishes, restaurants around Palm Beach County are serving a number of creative twists on classic brunch offerings, with everything from buffet banquets to specialty à la carte dishes.

Just remember to save a little room for some chocolate bunny — or try, anyway.

Le Ferme

La Ferme, the modern French bistro in West Boca, will be open for dinner on Easter Sunday from 5-10pm. The restaurant showcases classic French favorites and modern interpretations of a bistro menu with flavors of the Mediterranean. Signature appetizers include baked oysters 2 ways, ruby red beet cured gravlax, and escargots. Steamed black cod, short rib bourguignon, and lamb loin Wellington are highlights off the large plate selections. Easter specials include a roasted lamb leg ($35), poached Scottish salmon ($34), and honey glazed pork tenderloin ($32). La Ferme also features an extensive wine list, with a focus on boutique vineyards and international microbreweries, and a craft cocktail program.



Bistro Ten Zero One

Celebrate Easter with a lavish brunch buffet at Bistro Ten Zero One in West Palm Beach. The chef has designed a special menu highlighting ingredients straight from the onsite garden, with entrees ranging from fresh-carved ham with a Jack Daniels pineapple glaze, to Jonah stone crab claws with butter and lemon. The menu will also feature a salt and champagne-brined whole chicken with roasted artichokes and garden kale, or seared Chinook salmon with fennel and an heirloom tomato relish. Brunch will take place from noon 4 p.m., and costs $65 per person, or $32.50 for children ages 5 to 12.



Chowder Heads

For a more casual Easter Sunday — and plenty of boozy drink specials — head to Chowder Heads in West Palm Beach on Easter Sunday. Home of the best New England lobster roll in Palm Beach and Broward County, the seafood centric restaurant recently opened a second location off Okeechobee Boulevard, a larger space with an expanded menu. On Easter Sunday, Chowder Heads will be offering a special brunch with a holiday-inspired menu available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The best part: the drink specials including free mimosas, $4 bloody marys, $3 belinis, $5 house wines, and $2 draught beers all day. Easter Sunday brunch is $32.95 per person, or $12.95 for children under 12. Children 3 and under eat free.


Cafe Boulud

Few things are better — or more delicious — than a holiday buffet at Cafe Boulud, which are celebratory feasts filled with delicious dining optiond created by Chef Rick Mace and Pastry Chef Eric Snow. On April 5, celebrate Easter where a festive, family-friendly buffet will be offered from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The restaurant will also host two Easter egg hunts, which will take place in the courtyard, the first beginning at noon for children five and under, and a second at 12:30 p.m. for children ages 6 through 12. For adults, a mouthwatering buffet  includes house-made Palmetto Creek Farms ham, and herb and mustard-crusted roast leg of lamb, and a number of savory side dishes. There will also be a salad station, Mediterranean market table, and omelette and French "country kitchen" station. End it on a sweet note with holiday-inspired desserts that include carrot cake cupcakes, opera cake, raspberry chocolate sacher, Key Lime pie, seasonal fruit tarte, pistachio creme-filled eclairs, and more. The Easter Buffet is $95 per person, and $45 for children 10 and under. Beverage, tax, and gratuity not included. Prefer to dine later in the day? An à la carte menu will be served starting at 5:30 p.m.


DaVinci's

Come in as a guest, leave as one of the family. That's the idea at DaVinci's in Boca Raton, the newest authentic Italian eatery centrally located at the Boca Town Center Mall between Saks and Nordstrom. Owner Luigi Carvelli transformed the interior space of what used to be Legal Seafood. The inside features over-sized crystal chandeliers, a 60-foot-long wood bar, a private room and outdoor lounge. DaVinci's creates a fun family ambiance where each guest can enjoy delicious cuisine stemming from the Carvelli’s old-world recipes from Mesoraca, Italy. Bites include $5 burrata caprese with prosciutto, baby arugula and bacon tomato jam, $7 wagyu beef carpaccio, $6 grilled octopus salad, and delicious cocktails like their signature Wild Berry Mojito. DaVinci's is offering their a la carte menu for Easter Sunday. Hours are served daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and from 9 p.m. to close.



Spoto's Oyster Bar

For an unforgettable, Easter-inspired feast, grab your peeps (the non-sugarcoated variety) and pay a visit to Spoto’s Oyster Bar, a funky-meets-sophisticated seafood restaurant in north Palm Beach County. The culinary gem, located in PGA Commons, is offering sea-to-fork specials for lunch, including a mouthwatering lobster-and-brie omelet ($17.95) and a mind-blowingly delicious crab cake Benedict ($14.95), both served with home fries and local fresh fruit. Co-executive chefs Alan Stokes and Bill Flatley are turning up the heat on dinner with a magnificent, herb-crusted lamb ($33.75) with creamy mushroom risotto that will have you applauding after the last decadent bite. A favorite haunt for local celebrities and giant rabbits, the Easter Bunny will be handing out candy and posing for photos with guests from noon to 3 p.m. Easter lunch hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Easter dinner hours are 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. 



Avocado Grill

It's springtime, and — really — that is all the reason you need to celebrate Easter brunch at Avocado Grill this weekend. Brunch favorites will be extra special thanks to the restaurant's incredible open-air layout where guests can bask in sun, in a setting steps from the Intracoastal, while enjoying a sumptuous Easter brunch from 11a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 5. The chef and owner Julien Gemaud has incorporated the best elements of every great brunch menu into one, from traditional eggs Benedict, to tuna avocado spring rolls. Avocado Grill’s Easter brunch will also feature bottomless crisp and cool rose for $15, half-price bottles of rose champagne, and specialty craft cocktails.

Not everyone is religious, but we also that know everyone loves a soulful brunch. This year, book a non-religious reservation at Vic & Angelo’s in Palm Beach Gardens and Delray Beach, and celebrate Easter Sunday Brunch (whether or not you're celebrating the holiday). Known for its bowl-scraping pasta offerings, Vic & Angelo’s is raising the bar on brunch buffet fare with an assortment of delectable offerings including a hot carving station, sea-to-table raw bar, and an egg lover’s omelet and eggs Benedict bar. Guests can also fill up on assorted fresh fruit and cheese platters, creative salads, and French toast. Main plates include juicy chicken piccata, and rigatoni bolognese. End the meal on a sweet note with a full-on dessert station. Easter brunch hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., served for $39.99 per person and $19.95 for children under 10. 



Tanzy

This Easter Sunday you can do brunch, catch a movie, and get a photo with the Easter Bunny all in one shot at Tanzy in Boca Raton. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. the restaurant will be serving up a special Sunday brunch made extra special with the Hipster Bunny, who will be available for photos. Entertainment aside, the Easter Sunday special served at $35 per person includes a spinach and smoked ham tart starter; lobster eggs Benedict with baby artichokes and morel mushrooms; and carrot cake whoopee pie. Or choose from a la carte items including a crispy chicken and sourdough waffles; house made granola; or gravlax with shaved red onion, capers, cream cheese, and toasted ciabatta. Egg lovers will rejoice with organic eggs served poached, as omelets, or steak and eggs with skirt steak and breakfast tomatoes. Of course, brunch wouldn't be complete without a Tanzy Mary made with from scratch San Marzano tomato bloody mix, or the bar's $14 bottomless mimosas.
