It's easy to see why Luke Bryan is the hunk of country music. With a teasing smile, perfect stubble, and perpetual glimmer in his eye, yes: Bryan is damned good-looking. Typically dressed in tight shirts and snug jeans, he happily feeds into the frenzy by shaking his tush onstage, occasionally gifting audience members with a wink [swoon].

Ahem — sorry, I digress. Let's talk music.

Sure, Bryan may fall under the bro-country category, where songs mainly consist of pickup trucks, beer-chugging, and hot chicks, but his track record is no joke. The singer has sold more than 7 million albums and 27 million songs and boasts 12 number-one hits, along with simultaneous double-platinum albums. Earlier this year, Bryan also won Academy of Country Music awards for Entertainer of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year for his duet with duo Florida Georgia Line, "This Is How We Roll," and his video for "Play It Again" garnered the CMT Award for Male Video of the Year. The country superstar racked up several more nominations at the CMT, iHeartRadio, People's Choice, and Teen Choice awards shows over the past year.

Besides all the recognition, the guy is actually a compassionate human being too. Last November, Bryan took in his teenaged nephew, Tilden, after the sudden death of his father-in-law, Ben Lee Chesire (Bryan's sister Kelly passed away in 2007). Based on an interview with Entertainment Tonight last month, Bryan seems to be taking it in stride. "It's amazing having Til in the house," he said. "I've got a buddy! I got a man in the house." That's in addition to his two sons, Bo and Tate.

So, what's the moral of the story? Bryan may come off as a pretty boy with a lack of solid lyrical material, but the hunk with a heart is wildly popular. Whether he's turning on the charm during his performances or being a great uncle and father, Luke Bryan proves he is more than just another pretty face.
