PGA golfer Dustin Johnson is the latest to lay down some big money for a big house in our neck of the woods. Johnson, who has earned over $5.2 million in the last year swinging the golf club, has bought himself a waterfront house in Palm Beach Gardens worth $4.95 million.

The Mediterranean-style house spans about 1.58 acres and features an elevator, a fireplace, a pool, a sweet spot to put a yacht, and a private island.

According to Gossip Extra, Johnson bought the home earlier this month from investment manager Courtney Munson who had originally purchased it for $3.2 million in 2012.

The house, Johnson's second in Palm Beach, sits on the intracoastal waterway and boasts five bedrooms, six and half baths, two custom-built walk-in closets, a gourmet kitchen, a cabana bath, home office, and an insulated wine room. The main house has a pool with a waterfall and grotto, and has three balconies that overlook the water. There's also a four-car garage and a golf cart shed.

Johnson, 31, has 11 career wins on the PGA Tour, and is engaged to Paulina Gretzky, daughter of hockey legend Wayne Gretzky.
