Open the doors. Roll down your car windows. Pull your leather jacket out of the closet. LIke MF Doom and the Gorillaz said, November has come (and nearly gone).

While the rest of the country hunkers down for winter, South Florida is just getting started. It's season, everyone is out again, tourists are back in town, and we have a string of incredible events to celebrate. Between Halloween and New Year's, we celebrate Boat Show and charity ball season, Thanksgiving, Art Basel, SantaCon, and Christmas.

While I have nothing but love for the holiday season, you sure won’t find any holiday music on my playlists. This used to be a slow time of year for releasing music, but in a world of home studios, free downloads, and instant uploads, the pace never really slows down now. I started off this chart with a beautiful tropical/nu-disco track from Air Zaïre and Daniela, both Broward County natives now living in NYC.

Check out Swiss artist EDX’s new deep house anthem “Belong,” included in honor his incredible show at Vibe Las Olas last week. Rufus’ “You Were Right,” from their forthcoming album (out January 22), shows what happens when great songwriting is married with stylish dance music.
