South Florida Food and Drink Events This Weekend: Wine Club, Las Olas Wine and Food Festival, and Downtown BBQ Throwdown


Friday Night Wine Club

Join the World Famous Parrot Lounge (911 Sunrise Lane, Fort Lauderdale) for its monthly installment of Beaches and Brews. A $5 donation to the Everglades Angels Dog Rescue grants guests a free drink. This begins on the beach at 5 p.m., with happy hour starting at 6 p.m. in the Parrot Lounge. Visit

Foxy Brown and Barrel of Monks Dinner

Las Olas Wine and Food Festival
The Las Olas Wine and Food Festival (2020 S. Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale) will feature sips and samples from local wineries and restaurants. There will be live music, cooking competitions, mixology and culinary demos, interactive retail experiences, private VIP lounges and MYO cocktail experiences, and more.
