South Florida Food and Drink Events This Week: Cheese Dinner, Craft Beer Week, and Crepes


Local Brew Flight & Balls

Fork and Balls (1301 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale) is partaking in craft beer week with a flight of local beer paired with meatballs for $15. This is available until Sunday and includes three draft beers and four meatballs. The yumminess starts at 11 a.m. Visit

Funky Buddha Brewery's Kegs & Cultures
Get your cheese on at Funky Buddha Brewery (1201 NE 38 St., Oakland Park). Guests can enjoy five gourmet American cheeses paired with five brews and a lecture. This costs $25 and is from 7 to 9 p.m. Visit

Flagler Village Brewing Beer Pairing Dinner
The Brass Tap (551 N. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale) joins forces with Flagler Village Brewery for a beer dinner. Executive Chef Jonathan Garr will be making the five courses, which include ahi tuna tartar, peanut butter and pork belly sliders, krabby patty mac, coffee-crusted tenderloin strips, and butterscotch bread pudding French toast. Farm to Kitchen: Vegan Delights

Farmer’s Table (1901 N. Military Trl., Boca Raton) will be teaching and serving up samples such as rainbow kale salad, mushroom collard wraps, and pea pesto zoodles. The class is from 1 to 2 p.m. and costs $15. Visit


Art and Craft
Pair beer with painting at 26 Degree Brewing Company (2600 E. Atlantic Blvd., Pompano Beach). From 7 to 9 p.m., participants can paint a picture while sipping on craft beer or wine. This costs $30. Visit


Scotch Dinner Pairing at Angelo Elia Pizza, Bar and Tapas

Crepes and Cider Pairing
Le Rendez-vous (221 Datura St., West Palm Beach) will allow you to try their crepes paired with bubbly cider. American Craft Beer Specials
iPic (Mizner Park, 301 Plaza Real, Boca Raton) is serving up pints and flights of local craft beers. Attendees can also learn about craft beer from iPic’s Adam Seger, master barman and sommelier. Also featured are chicken Milanese sliders. Visit

National Burger Month 

Burlock Coast (The Ritz-Carlton, 1 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd.) is offering the Bootleg Burger in honor of National Burger Month. It is made with pulled pork, brisket, chipotle aioli, and jack cheese for $19. Visit

ROK:BRGR (multiple locations) has an American Wagyu Kobe Burger. This contains a blend of Kobe brisket and chuck with foie gras, blood orange marmalade and truffle cream brie cheese. It is also topped off with truffles and comes with truffle fries. This meal costs $50. Visit

Wild Sea Oyster Bar & Grille (620 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale) is serving the Soft Shell Crab all month long. It consists of crispy soft shell crab, bacon, avocado, Sriracha mayo, heirloom tomato, and watercress. Visit
