Fourth of July 2016's Fireworks, Parades, Picnics, and Parties in Broward and Palm Beach

Finally, a holiday celebration that every generation can agree is lit. It's officially summer, which means Fourth of July is right around the corner, so it's time to break out your best barbecue recipes, grab a new bathing suit, and start putting some thought into how you will celebrate Independence Day 2016. Here in South Florida we are blessed with a plethora of locations that are all completely acceptable Fourth of July hot spots, which makes deciding which one to attend a fantastic problem to have. 

Luckily, we're here to help you solve this awesome problem. Here is a list of some of the best Fourth of July celebrations taking place in Broward and Palm Beach this year. Choose wisely. 

City of Boca Raton
From 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Countess deHoernle Park, 1000 NW Spanish River Blvd., Boca Raton.
Free family-friendly activities including a Klime Wallz, food available for purchase, and a fireworks display starting at 9 p.m. Free trolley service from Boca Corporate Center and Campus.

City of Coral Springs 
From 6 to 9 p.m. at Mullins Park, 10000 NW 29th St., Coral Springs.
Enjoy games, bounce houses, food, and entertainment starting at 6 p.m. Parking will be available for $3. The fireworks display begins at 9 p.m.

City of Davie 
From 4 to 9:30 p.m. at Pine Island Park Multi-Purpose Center, 3801 Pine Island Road, Davie .
Festivities and activities will  include arts and crafts, food trucks, a youth section, face painting, bounce houses, train rides, and craft vendors.

City of Delray Beach 
From 4 to 9 p.m. along A1A & Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach.
This free event will feature live music with Main Street Dreamers & the Holidazed, a sand-sculpting contest hosted by Delray Marketplace, and a putt-putt challenge at the Putt’n Around mini-golf course. Activities will include the KOOL 105.5 Splash Zone featuring a water maze and dunk tanks, a kid’s corner hosted by the Avenue Church with face painting and craft activities, sidewalk chalk, and a giant community mural. The over-21 crowd can enjoy a beer garden hosted by Burger Fi, Caffe Luna Rosa, and Boston’s on the Beach. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. and launch from the north end of the beach; they'll be simulcast by Wild 95.5.

City of Fort Lauderdale 
From noon to 9:30 p.m on Fort Lauderdale Beach at A1A and Las Olas Boulevard.
This free event will feature a DJ, music, face painting, and beach games and contests. An old-fashioned hot dog eating contest and a pie eating contest will take place as well. From 4:30 to 5:45 p.m., Crystal Visions of Fleetwood Mac take the stage performing hits like "Landslide," "Dreams," and "the Chain." Then, at 6:15 p.m., Brass Evolution takes over and performs hits by Chicago, Tower of Power, Earth, Wind and Fire, and more.  Lite 101.5 FM will be onsite throughout the day and will simulcast music with the fireworks display.

City of Hallandale Beach 
11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at S. City Beach Park,  1870 S. Ocean Drive, Hallandale Beach.
Hallandale Beach's free daytime party gets out in front of all the Fourth of July festivities with a "Celebrate America" event taking place Saturday, June 25. It will include games, activities, music, and much more.
