It's hard out there these days, and not just for the usual suspects -- the working poor, the homeless. This economy is hard even for young, educated, professional types. A little networking can do a career good. Enter the Young Professionals, an organization custom-built to help young employees connect with those around them, because you never know when you'll need some help or find someone who needs yours. This year, members of the Young Professionals for Covenant House are celebrating 20 years of raising money and awareness for Covenant House, a homeless-youth refuge, and they're inviting anyone interested to join them at the Royal Pig Pub to hobnob with peers and participate in a raffle at this unique venue. All this is in preparation for their big anniversary event in September. The fun takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Royal Pig Pub, located at 350 E. Las Olas Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale. The cost is $20 for YPCH members, $25 guests/nonmembers, or $30 for new members/renewals. Call 954-568-7916, or visit youngpros.net.
