Wanda Sykes is everywhere. Perhaps you caught her in Hurricane Bianca 2: From Russia With Hate last year? Or, maybe you’ve seen her on Black-ish and Broad City in recent years. She’s also starred in a few stand-up specials including the always-hilarious I’ma Be from 2010 and the 2016 special What Happened... It’s not every day you get to stroll the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens after 5 p.m. Well, you can this Friday evening during a special Sushi & Stroll Summer Walk. In addition to enjoying the gardens’ picturesque grounds, the taiko drumming group Fushu Daiko will perform, sake and beer will be available for sale, and Cornell Café and food trucks will serve up yummy pan-Asian cuisine. 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, 4000 Morikami Park Rd., Delray Beach; morikami.org. Calling all comic book fans! The first-ever AARLCC-CON: Comic & SciFi Convention is this Saturday in Fort Lauderdale. AARLCC stands for the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center and, among the activities, there will be opportunities aplenty for African-American writers and illustrators, including workshops and networking opportunities. Haven’t bought mom that Mother’s Day card yet? This is your last chance. And, why buy one, when you can make one? On Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Story section at Macy’s in Boca Raton will host a Melt Hearts workshop. You’ll get to create a DIY crayon Mother’s Day card, which involves melting Crayola crayons. Midsummers in Florida are miserable and muggy. But we can all get behind A Midsummer Night’s Dream, presented by the Shakespeare Troupe of South Florida at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center. If you’ve steered clear of Shakespeare’s work, this play is a wonderful intro loaded with enchantment, a bit of a rivalry, and some love along the way. 7 p.m. Saturday at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center, 50 W. Sunday

Take mom to Brimstone Woodfire Grill in Pembroke Pines for an extravagant Mother’s Day meal. The restaurant's holiday menu will feature a seafood sampler, parmesan-crusted filet with porcini risotto, lobster gnocchi, and chocolate fondue. In a world with too much damn noise, let’s listen to some timeless music. On Monday, the Symphonic Band of the Palm Beaches will perform Rhapsody in Red, White, and Blue. The experience will evoke American pride with songs including “Victory at Sea”, “Lead Me Home” and “POW/MIA March”. Wednesday

Anxiety sucks and unfortunately, a lot of people out there have to deal with it. Enter Angst. It’s a documentary designed to raise awareness around anxiety, and it’s being shown at Lauderdale’s Savor Cinema on Wednesday.
