Is Brad leaving Angelina for Jen? Did Dylan really cheat with Kelly while Brenda was away? Is that coworker really sleeping with her neighbor’s husband? Week after week, we sit with our girlfriends gossiping about affairs. Celebrity or not — and as long as they’re not about our husbands or boyfriends — we love a good secret love story. But not every affair is a bad thing, not even one that has been going on for, say, 50 years. Gasp! Friday through Sunday, the Delray Affair returns to celebrate its 50th birthday as one of the longest-running outdoor arts and crafts street festivals. Taking over Atlantic Avenue — allowing only pedestrian traffic — the festivities stretch from Swinton Avenue to the Intracoastal Waterway of Delray Beach. Each year, around 300,000 attendees flock from all over to shop and admire the artistic work from more than 800 vendors. But it’s not only about the art. Throughout the weekend, various musicians like Adam Fine, Billy Bones, and the Killbillies will provide the soundtrack for the festival. Additionally, there will be four food courts and two beer gardens for brew enthusiasts. Beginning at 10 a.m. each day, admission is free. Call 561-278-0424, or visit delrayaffair.com.
